Frequently Asked Questions

How much do you charge?

Sessions are £50 per week for a 50-minute session. Payable 24 hours in advance of any booked session. I take payment via bank transfer.
My evening availability is very sought-after and therefore limited, there is a slight increase in price for an evening session at £55 per session (9:30pm)

Do you offer reduced fees?

I offer reduced fees of £45 to students.
I am open to discussing reduced fees so please do get in touch and this is something we can discuss together.

Can I have bi-weekly (fortnightly) sessions?

There are no hard and fast rules for this and the answer is very individual. I always suggest having at least 4-6 weekly sessions so that we can get to know each other and build up an understanding, I can gain your trust and you can grow comfortable enough to share what you want and need to share. All of these things take time and aren’t as easy to do with gaps in between.

After this, we can discuss the option of moving to bi-weekly sessions but it will depend on a number of things including the issues you’re bringing to your sessions and how they’re impacting you in between sessions. These are all things we can discuss together.

Ultimately, your sessions are for you to get the most out of them and this will be a conversation I’m always happy to have with you. If bi-weekly sessions are or aren’t in your best interest, I will always let you know and explain all the reasons to you.

How do I make an appointment?

To make an appointment, please either fill out an enquiry form located on the ‘contact me’ page of this website or email me directly at: jodiemccormack1011@hotmail.com I aim to get back to you the same day as I understand reaching out and sending that initial email can sometimes feel like the biggest step.

How does online counselling work?

Online counselling works much the same as in-person counselling except it takes place in the comfort of your own home (or where ever you choose to sit for the duration of your session). The day before your session, I will email you with your Zoom link and the following day you can click the link and our session will begin, allowing us to see and hear one another.
